DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Higashiyama plans a summer opening
Along with its partners, Hilton has announced the signing of a management agreement for DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Higashiyama. The 158-room rebranded hotel will be the first DoubleTree by Hilton branded hotel in Kyoto and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2023.
“We are thrilled to announce the signing of a management agreement for the DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto, Higashiyama,” said Timothy Soper, area vice president, head of Japan, Korea & Micronesia, Hilton. “This, our fourth property in Kyoto, illustrates our strong commitment to continue the expansion of our footprint in this truly iconic, and internationally known cultural city.”
The hotel is well-suited for business and leisure travellers, situated just 10 minutes from Kyoto Station by taxi and a one-minute walk from the metro, allowing guests easy access to the Karasuma business district.
The hotel will be infused with a modern Japanese style of design, while the area’s natural beauty and seasonal colours will extend to the tranquil mini-Japanese garden on the lobby floor, where guests can refresh their mind, body and spirit. The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a lounge and bar, as well as a fitness centre and a public bath.
