The demand for events is strong at Messe Frankfurt
In 2022, more than 230 guest events took place in Messe Frankfurt’s exhibition grounds, nearly as many as in 2019. Visitors from more than 165 countries came to Frankfurt for these events, which included Achema, CPHI and EUROBIKE.
“We are very optimistic about 2023 and are delighted to be welcoming new event formats,” said Michael Biwer, vice president of guest events. “We expect overall demand to continue rising, which augurs well for our vision: to establish Frankfurt as Germany’s leading meetings, incentives and events destination.”
The success of Messe Frankfurt’s guest event business is the product of years spent expanding and professionalising its operations. This includes furthering digitalisation, as with myVenue, the 24/7 online request and planning tool for the Kap Europa congress centre, and Messe Frankfurt Locations Talk, where industry experts discuss the latest issues via livestream.
The venue is also investing in the infrastructure of its exhibition grounds. The new Hall 5 is now in operation in the eastern portion of the Frankfurt exhibition grounds. To the south of Hall 12, construction work has begun on the new Messeplatz entrance in the Europaviertel district, across from the planned U-Bahn underground train stop.
