St. Louis launches new connection to Europe via Frankfurt

The delegation of St. Louis visitors to IMEX included Kitty Ratcliffe, president of Explore St. Louis; Tim Nowak, executive director of the World Trade Center St. Louis, plus representatives from the Office of the Mayor of St. Louis; Bank of America St. Louis; St. Louis Economic Development Partnership; Lufthansa Airlines; St. Louis Lambert International Airport; Missouri Chamber of Commerce; Missouri Dept. of Economic Development; U.S. Consulate Frankfurt.
A delegation of more than 40 officials from St. Louis in the U.S. made IMEX in Frankfurt their first stop after touching down at Frankfurt Airport on the inaugural flight from their home city. The new route offered by Lufthansa marks the first time in two decades that St. Louis, Missouri, is connected directly to continental Europe. The fully-booked flight landed in Frankfurt on the morning of Thursday 2 June – the closing day of the show.
After holding a press conference, they toured the IMEX show floor. This included a visit to the St. Louis stand, who were exhibiting for the first time. The visit to the show was part of a four-day trip.
