Malta offers a fresh start

The Mediterranean island of Malta, famous for its ancient temples and baroque churches, is proving once again its credentials as a fresh, exciting destination for meetings and incentives with a new brand identity.
After two years of international research, Conventions Malta has been relaunched as Visit Malta Incentives and Meetings, aligning the meetings and events product with Visit Malta’s perennially popular leisure sector under the same general brand.
“We are excited for the future outlook, especially seeing important organisations bring their meetings and conferences to our islands during the coming months,” said Christophe Berger, director of Visit Malta Incentives and Meetings. “Malta has an amazing offering for incentives and meetings, and we look forward to continue actively promoting Malta in the international market.”
Malta International Airport’s connectivity is now back to 85 percent of 2019 levels and is expected to continue growing further as any last remaining pandemic-related restrictions are lifted. Malta is no more than a three-hour flight from major European hubs. Once on the island, transfer times are around 20 minutes, guaranteeing more quality programme content.
The award-winning destination has long been a favourite with FTSE100 companies and major organisations hosting headline conferences and memorable incentives, earning a reputation for dependable excellence and creativity. Forbes Travel Guide has included Malta in its 2022 Star Award programme, and Malta’s gastronomic scene now boasts five Michelin-starred restaurants.
