Stuttgart Convention Bureau maintains sustainability focus

With the guiding principle ‘We care,’ the Stuttgart Convention Bureau has the experience to help meeting and event planners interested in incorporating the green highlights of Stuttgart and the surrounding region in their event planning.
At the end of last year, Stuttgart received the German Sustainability Award, further increasing the appeal of conventions and incentives in Germany's most sustainable metropolis.
“Owing to the events of the past two years, priorities have changed. Interpersonal exchanges at congresses and events have meant that sustainability has become even more important because it is strongly linked to personal wellbeing,” said Karina Grutzner, head of the Convention Bureau. “And saving resources in particular has top priority at present, thanks to soaring energy costs.”
The Waldhotel Stuttgart holds Green Sign Level 5 certification and is situated in the woodlands not far from the world's first television tower. Just 15 minutes from the heart of Stuttgart, guests can enjoy meetings and nature at team building events, or panoramic views with a glimpse behind the scenes of the television tower. Nearby, the Bürgerzentrum Waiblingen civic centre offers innovative meeting formats that connect the historic town centre to the Talaue – the park directly adjacent to the congress centre.
